Getting the perfect shot

I've been doing some file shuffling and found these from a shoot this summer. This first shot is the kind that always gets me. I know from my own experience (and from talking to clients) that so much goes into getting ready for family photos.

We stress about clothing choices, hairstyles, make-up. We beg the kids to not play in the dirt and bribe them to stay clean and wrinkle free. Picture-perfect, you know.

Then it's time for the shot and this happens....

Drool!

While it's not picture-perfect, on a baby it adds character and on this one, it's absolutely adorable. (click on the photo to see it larger)

I was doing some photo editing recently and was reminded how much I loved the images from this session. Cute girls, eh?! (Yes, they belong to us - I'm biased)
